The Promised Land Remaster’ Is in Development by Sting, Platforms Unannounced – TouchArcade

Following the recent launch of Blaze Union: Story to Reach the Future, Sting has announced a remaster of the Game Boy Advance and PSP game Riviera: The Promised Land. Riviera: The Promised Land Remaster is currently in development for unannounced platforms. The announcement celebrates the 21st anniversary of the game’s debut on WonderSwan Color in Japan. More details are not available as of this writing, but I expect Riviera: The Promised Land Remaster will come to Switch and mobile like all prior remasters or recent ports from Sting. The first one only just got released in the West only on Steam with no sign of a console or mobile release yet. Watch the original trailer for Riviera: The Promised Land via IGN below:

I haven’t played much of Riviera: The Promised Land, but hope this new remaster does make its way to the West on some platform at least. If it is only on PC, my Steam Deck is ready for it. I’m surprised either Sting or a publisher like Xseed Games or NIS America haven’t tried releasing this on console at least in the West. I feel like there’s a huge audience for these games on Switch right now, and said audience (including myself) would happily buy physical releases as well. When Sting announces more details like a release window or platforms, I’ll post about it. As of now, no platforms or release window have been announced, and we don’t even know what potential new features or enhancements will be added. Have you plaeyd Riviera: The Promised Land on GBA or PSP in the West before and did you end up trying Yggdra Union on Steam in English?
