Christopher Nolan‘s Dark Knight trilogy are some of the most beloved superhero movies of all time, but does he intend to return to the genre?
The Oppenheimer director worked with Christian Bale to bring Batman to life in the trio of movies, which began with Batman Begins in 2005 and concluded with The Dark Knight Rises in 2012.
Over the years, he collaborated with the likes of Heath Ledger, Anne Hathaway, Morgan Freeman, Katie Holmes and his Oppenheimer star Cillian Murphy in the fictional, crime-riddled Gotham City.
During a recent interview, Christopher was asked if he had any plans to make another superhero movie.

Speaking to YouTuber HugoDecrypte, Christopher had a simple and rapid-fire response when asked if he’d do another superhero movie – “No.”
The quick question and answer section of the interview included a question about if he wanted to direct a Star Wars movie, but he opted out of answering.

Speaking of Cillian, Christopher recently revealed how he knew that the actor was the right person to play the “father of the atomic bomb” in Oppenheimer. He also revealed the actor (who has their own Batman connection) who inspired him to tackle his latest movie.
