Travis Kelce Reveals What He Said to Aaron Rodgers at Chiefs/Jets Game Days Before Aaron Called Him ‘Mr. Pfizer’ | Aaron Rodgers, Travis Kelce | Just Jared: Celebrity News and Gossip

Travis Kelce‘s name has been making headlines a lot for his rumored relationship with Taylor Swift, however, he also had a noteworthy interaction with Aaron Rodgers, too.

At the Chiefs vs Jets game on Sunday (October 1), Aaron, who was on crutches after tearing his Achilles tendon, had an interaction on the field with Travis, pre-game. Aaron was supposed to be the starting quarterback of the Jets this season, but that role now belongs to Zach Wilson as Aaron rehabs his ankle.

Fans noticed that Travis and Aaron were interacting on the sideline, and many wondered what was said.

Travis revealed on the New Heights podcast, “I just wanted to go up to him — I didn’t shoot him a text or anything like that — I just wanted to go up to him to tell him how excited everybody was and how bummed out we were that he got banged up and needed to get surgery. Watching Hard Knocks, it was electric to see what Aaron Rodgers was going to do with that team. And not to say that they’re not gonna be great because he’s not there, but I think that having Aaron there was gonna be that much more entertaining for the fans of the game like I am.”

Travis also shared, “But you just hate to see the great ones go down with injury, that’s for sure. I just went up to him and told him we were all hurting for him and hopefully he gets healthy quick.”

However, just hours before Travis‘ quote on the New Heights podcast was published, Aaron went on the Pat McAfee Show and called Travis “Mr. Pfizer,” which many took as a dig towards Travis. The reference is to Travis‘ Pfizer vaccine commercial that has been airing.

On the show, Aaron talked about the Chiefs’ performance during their 23-20 victory over the Jets. While the Chiefs won, the Jets put up a good fight. Aaron said of Travis‘ performance during the game, “You know, Mr. Pfizer, we kinda shut him down a little bit. He didn’t have, you know, his like crazy impact game. Obviously he had some yards and stuff. But I felt like for the most part, you know, we played really tough on defense except for the last three quarters,” he added.

If you don’t know, Aaron is one of 19 celebrities who famously refused to get the COVID-19 vaccine (including an Oscar winner, a Marvel star and more.)
