As fashion editors we’re constantly monitoring new season trends, whether they be micro or mega, we want to know about them. Whilst some crop up suddenly, others have a slower, steadier approach—avoiding a huge spike in interest, but rather enjoying a tempered incline. My experience in the industry has taught me that these are the trends that stick.
Over the past few months I’ve spotted a few new-season styles that fall into this promising category. Pencil and wool skirts have enjoyed a resurgence, and crew-neck cardigans are back on every corner. On the footwear front, there’s no trend that I’m more compelled by than the revival of the kitten heel.
