The next Game of Thrones prequel TV series will debut next year.
The HBO drama series, which is called A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight, is set for release in 2025, HBO boss Casey Bloys announced during Warner Bros. Discovery’s upfronts on Wednesday (May 15).
He also revealed that production is underway on the new show.

Here’s a plot summary: “Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.”
Peter Claffey will star as Ser Duncan the Tall, who is described as “a young, naïve but courageous knight.”
Dexter Sol Ansell stars opposite Claffey as Egg.
George R.R. Martin will serve as a writer and executive producer alongside Ira Parker.
