After the MomTok creators exploded on social media and Hulu’s The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives docuseries, the husbands are getting in on the fun.

“POV: It’s Daddy’s Turn,” Demi Engemann’s husband, Bret Engemann, captioned a Thursday, October 31, TikTok video of himself singing “What We Doin’” by City Girls.

Bret, 46, was joined by Dakota Mortenson (Taylor Frankie Paul’s on-off partner), Connor Leavitt (Whitney Leavitt’s husband), Jacob Neeley (Mayci Neeley’s spouse), Jordan Ngatikaura (Jessi Ngatikaura’s husband) and Jace Matthews (Mikayla Matthews’ spouse). The squad lip-synched to the popular TikTok sound as they partied in a house, showing off the living room, bathroom tub, closet space and kitchen island.

“Will MomTok survive this?” Bret captioned the video, adding “Dads of TikTok” and “DadTok” hashtags.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives will be back for more drama as the Hulu reality series has been renewed for season 2. Hulu has greenlit another batch of episodes, confirming the news in a Thursday, October 3, press release. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is renewed for 20 new episodes after the pilot became […]

MomTok was launched by Taylor, 30, and her friends in 2020, showcasing how the influencers deviated from traditional Mormon standards in their young families. The group was thrust into chaos — and the spotlight — after Taylor claimed to be involved in a “soft-swinging” scandal with then-husband Tate Paul, other members and their spouses.

The scandal soon landed Taylor and her crew — also including Layla Taylor and Jen Affleck, whose respective significant others weren’t featured in Bret’s DadTok takeover — roles on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Aside from Taylor, none of the other Hulu stars participated in the swinging parties.

“It was fun and exciting and all those feelings at the time. So I didn’t feel bad at the time,” Taylor exclusively revealed in Us Weekly’s Reality Stars of the Year issue last month. “But I think learning all the after-effects of how it can destroy your life — I absolutely don’t miss that.”

Taylor and her fellow Mormon Wives stars recently started filming season 2, which is slated to hit Hulu in 2025.

“There’s so many stories that these women have to share,” show producer Danielle Pistotnik told Us in September. “Their upbringing is unbelievably heartbreaking — a lot of them — and it is so inspiring to listen to. [In] another season, I really, really want these women to be able to talk about what brought them to where they are today. [Scenes that ended up on the cutting room floor] was really just a function of the amount of time that we had.”

She added, “We talked to them [before filming] and we said, ‘What’s going on in her life? What are you comfortable talking about?’ Granted, it was eight episodes, so a lot of it was left out. Hopefully … those stories get to be shared. But we really took the ladies’ lead and what was significant in their lives at the time.”

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season 1 is currently streaming on Hulu.
