The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Teddi Mellencamp and Karli Postel, the wife of Mellencamp’s horse trainer, recently attended the same event.
Both Mellencamp, 43, and Postel were separately spotted at the Las Vegas National Horse Show, which was held at the South Point Arena and Equestrian Center earlier this week. In photos obtained by the Daily Mail, Mellencamp wore a beige hoodie and matching baseball cap while watching daughter Slate, 12, compete in the tournament.
Postel, who is married to equestrian trainer Simon Schroeder, rode in another event.
Us Weekly confirmed earlier this month that Mellencamp had previously been involved in an affair with Schroeder after he trained her pet horse. The Bravo alum was married to Edwin Arroyave at the time, with whom she shares Slate, Cruz, 10, and Dove, 4. (Mellencamp filed for divorce earlier this month, citing that they separated on October 20. Arroyave’s response claimed that they separated weeks later.)
Mellencamp subtly addressed the affair scandal during the Thursday, November 14, episode of her “Two Ts in a Pod” podcast.
“I’m sure everyone has seen everything all over the worldwide web,” she said. “What I can say, which I’m trying very … there’s multiple sides to every story. I’m not going to confirm or deny anything, but there’s many people involved.”
Mellencamp added, “I once again, say the same statement I said before: The kids, they’re the priority. For the time being that’s all I’m going to discuss on this.”
A source, meanwhile, claimed to Us that Arroyave, 47, had also been unfaithful eight years ago. Per the insider, the businessman insisted “he has not had an affair since” and the initial scandal was “a wake-up call” to focus on faith and family.
Schroeder and Postel have not addressed the alleged affair, though the latter previously detailed her friendship with Mellencamp.
“You know, [Teddi] was super excited about [her horse Totally], but there were some bumps in the road, and she needed some help,” Postel told The Chronicle of the Horse in a February profile. “She went around the horse show trying to figure out who might be the strongest rider to help her in the situation, and pretty much everyone pointed to Simon.”
Postel added, “Teddi was unique in a lot of ways, because she saw the potential in this horse, and she saw all the beautiful pieces. A lot of people probably would have given up in the process of trying to put it all together, because it hasn’t necessarily been the most straightforward process. But, she stayed the course. On good days and bad days, she’s found nice things to say about the horse and reasons to keep going. So I think in that way, she’s a special amateur, in that she doesn’t give up.”
