10 Most Rewatchable Scenes in the Venom Trilogy, Ranked

The final farewell to one of the Sony universe’s most iconic character trilogies has finally come to theaters, and for many, it was a fitting end to a fan-favorite trilogy. These movies have always been for the fans to enjoy, full of brilliant fight sequences and hilariously comedic moments, helped endlessly by Tom Hardy‘s physical comedy abilities and an undeniably enjoyable depiction of Venom.

In the six years since this adventure began, the three movies that make up the Venom trilogy have provided some truly memorable scenes that make for easy repeat viewing and reliving the fun all over again. Fans watch these movies for a variety of reasons, whether it’s a love for the source material, the characters, or those brilliant action scenes, and they all hold a special place in their fans’ hearts for unique reasons.

10 Venom Goes Partying

The Venom movies are known for their witty one-liners and comedic undertone; it’s a big part of what makes them so loved among the fanbase. Eddie and Venom feed off of each other’s personalities and have always worked so well together. But in Venom: Let There Be Carnage, tensions arise, and the two begin to bicker, which makes for even more comedic moments.

One of the most memorable scenes comes after Venom helps solve the location of Cletus Cassidy’s (Woody Harrelson) murder sites, resulting in the two clashing back in Eddie’s apartment. Venom then abandons Eddie after destroying his bike and winds up body-hopping through San Francisco’s party scene before ending up on stage and having a good time. Albeit just for a bit of fun, some comedic one-liners, and seeing Venom covered head to toe in glow sticks, this scene will always be a favorite to go back to now and then.

9 Venom and Eddie’s Apartment Fight

Eddie and Venom’s apartment fight essentially ties in with Venom going partying, but it’s rewatchable enough as a standalone scene to discuss separately. These two characters started this trilogy as a bickering comedic duo, and their sporadic clashes became incredibly entertaining to watch as they ricocheted off one another’s personalities.

Think of it as two siblings fighting: that’s Eddie and Venom. It’s mostly lighthearted and with zero intentional malice, but in the trilogy’s second installment, they clashed like never before. It was still entertaining from a comedic point of view, and if anything, it led to them both realizing they needed each other. Venom and Eddie’s apartment fight is one of the most memorable scenes from Let The Be Carnage; the movie’s storylines aren’t perfect for some people, but the chemistry between its two leads never fails to disappoint.

8 Eddie VS Carlton Drake’s Goons

It may come as a surprise to some, but the first movie in the Venom trilogy is actually the lowest-rated on Rotten Tomatoes. Regardless of the fact that its Tomatometer score barely scratched the surface of 30%, Venom is a favorite for many fans, thanks to its introduction of a new story surrounding the titular alien.

Venom had some downright enjoyable scenes and dialogue and proved very quickly how well the Symbiote worked in live-action, with its first glimpse in the trailer showcasing its potential. The finished scene really showed off the Symbiote’s powers and combat capabilities; it was effortlessly enjoyable to watch as Venom took out the bad guys. But Eddie having no idea what was happening the entire time only amplified the comedic aspects of the first time they fought symbiotically. There’ll never be a bad time to rewatch that moment.

7 Venom vs. Riot

Venom’s welcome to the big screen depicted the Symbiotes arriving via a meteorite; soon, it became clear he wasn’t the only one. While Carlton Drake, played by Oscar nominee Riz Ahmed, is the movie’s main antagonist, things only got worse when the Riot Symbiote bonded with him, and it all culminated in a final fight between the two in a heroic, action-packed ending to the first movie.

It’s a relatively short final fight scene, but that only makes it easier to sit down for a rewatch.

A two-second snippet from the second trailer that depicted Riot and Venom entangled in a visually stunning confrontation had audiences looking forward to what could be about to happen. But Venom and Riot’s final fight was more impressive than anyone could’ve expected. The use of the Symbiote’s ability to merge, the incredible utilization of each Symbiote’s unique power, the realistic visuals, and the lighthearted comedic undertone all made it work so well. It’s a relatively short final fight scene, but that only makes it easier to sit down for a rewatch.

6 The River Fight

‘Venom: The Last Dance’ (2024)

It was known early on that Venom Horse would be a thing in this movie. That comedic clip at the end of the first trailer that saw Venom bond with a horse and take Eddie flying across a ravine was a big takeaway from the teaser, and it immediately sparked intrigue, but the full scene would take things one step further.

After The Imperium Project hones in on Eddie and Venom’s location, their tactical team, led by Rex Strickland (Chiwetel Ejiofor), deploys on the area, splitting Eddie from the Symbiote and pursuing them through a complex underwater battle. What follows is Venom’s desperate attempt to get back to Eddie, utilizing the environment and its inhabitants perfectly. Jumping from fish to bigger fish to frog through an intricate river, this underwater fight is one of the best scenes of the series, thanks to its fluidity and creative uses of the Symbiote. It showcases how powerful and resourceful Venom is and the lengths he’s willing to go to ensure he and Eddie survive.

5 Venom VS Carnage

The Venom trilogy’s action scenes have always been a shining light. They’re entertaining, gripping, comedic, and very easy to sit back and enjoy the chaos that typically ensues. In the first film, audiences were introduced to how well they could pull off fight scenes while impressively utilizing the Symbiote’s abilities and the environments in battle. In this regard, Venom: Let There Be Carnage followed in its predecessor’s footsteps.

The Carnage and Venom fight was significantly longer than Venom and Riot’s, and despite not having what many feel should have been an R-rated battle, it did very well for what it was. Once again, they focused on each Symbiote’s distinctive abilities and made sure to incorporate new and impressive ways of using their powers. Overall, it’s one of the best fights of the franchise, and it’s easy to rewatch to see how much they hit the nail on the head with the Symbiote’s design.

4 Carnage Transforms

“Something wicked this way comes.” Venom: Let There Be Carnage divided the fanbase perhaps more than the first and third films combined. However, the one thing most can agree on is that Carnage’s design was impeccable. The moment he was shown in the trailers heightened the burning anticipation in fans, and people couldn’t wait to see how he functioned in the finished film.

Carnage and Cletus Cassidy bond after he bites Eddie and inadvertently ingests a piece of the Symbiote. It remains questionable to make a movie with Carnage as a villain and not make it R-rated, but his impressive sound design and undeniable strength still made him a formidable opponent. Let’s not forget he created a tornado during his rampaging prison escape. Despite what some think of the overall movie and what the creators could or should have done differently, Carnage’s transformation will always be an impressive addition to the series.

3 Venom Versus SWAT

As mentioned, the Venom movies proved early on how capable they were of creating immersive and gripping action sequences. This scene in the first film is no exception. In fact, it’s arguably one of the best. It follows one of the funniest moments from the series, in which Eddie opts to take the elevator down from a skyscraper instead of jumping and is met with a tactical SWAT team ready and raring to take him out.

Great lighting and the use of smoke and thermal vision really immerse the viewers in the fight between Venom and some unsuspecting officers. It feels like something straight out of a video game with the stealth aspects in the darkness and confusion, and it’s not hard to see why it remains a favorite and rewatchable scene from the trilogy.

2 The Symbiotes Break Free

The Venom trilogy may not have won over everybody, but there’s no denying how good they’ve been at creating enthralling action sequences, many of which can be easily rewatched. One of those moments came in The Last Dance when the final fight got underway. The entire battle was executed brilliantly, but one moment stands out above the rest thanks to the excitement it instilled in viewers.

As tensions build and the movie begins to climax, Eddie is shot in the chest, leading to Venom fully transforming, which leads the Xenophage to his location and starting a fight sequence fans aren’t soon to forget. Multiple new Symbiotes joined the action, bringing excitement to fans as comic characters and new original Symbiotes made their live-action debuts. The choreography was excellent, and seeing all the Symbiotes together and fighting was incredibly fun. No matter how long they may have survived, this will remain one of the most easily rewatchable moments throughout the trilogy’s entirety.

1 The San Francisco Bike Chase

‘Venom’ (2018)

Despite their admitted flaws, the Venom movies always excelled in the VFX department, especially considering how great the titular anti-hero looks. One of the best scenes in the first movie depicts Eddie riding on his motorbike through the up and down streets of San Francisco with the help of some black tendrils.

Not only were the shots and camera work fluid and the Symbiote design flawless, but it culminated in Venom’s first full reveal as he healed Eddie’s broken bones following a nasty motorbike crash before biting someone’s head off. This scene will always be rewatchable thanks to its stunt choreography and action scenes, but its somewhat nostalgic undertone will always keep people coming back for more.
