Eddie Redmayne weighed in on the future of the Fantastic Beasts franchise.
The 42-year-old actor brought Newt Scamander to life in the Harry Potter spinoff series, which started with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them in 2016. A sequel followed two years later, and in 2022 Eddie returned to the universe for Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore.
Since then, fans have wondered if a fourth movie would follow. Eddie shared his thoughts on reprising the role in a new interview.

Speaking to Variety, Eddie said that he is done with the franchise.
“As far as I’m concerned – no,” he told the outlet when asked about future movies. He continued, adding, “That’s a question for one of our [Warner Bros. Discovery] leaders.”
While Eddie doesn’t plan to make more movies in the series, he did reprise the role for an exciting project this summer.
The director of the Fantastic Beasts series commented on the franchise’s future last year.
