The Wicked co-stars spoke out in an interview with Variety after the nominees were revealed for the 2025 Golden Globes, for which they both received nominations for their work in Wicked as Glinda and Elphaba, respectively.
Ariana was nominated for best performance by a female actor in a supporting role in any motion picture, for her role as Glinda. Cynthia was nominated for best performance by a female actor in a motion picture – musical or comedy, for her role as Elphaba.
