Amy Adams is opening up about her glam routine, both on and off the red carpet.
The 50-year-old actress got candid in an interview with People about her makeup, revealing that her 14-year-old daughter Aviana, whom she shares with husband Darren Le Gallo, requested that she keep it natural in her personal life.
“She didn’t like me wearing makeup,” she said.

“She’s like, ‘I just want you to look like Mom, not like Amy Adams.’ And I was like, ‘You got it.’ So there were years where I didn’t wear makeup wherever we went. I mean, I sneaked some mascara,” she said.
“But yeah, I wouldn’t wear makeup because she wanted me to be just mom.”
She also revealed that her daughter has offered her tips on her ensemble as well.
“I’m usually the least manicured at my household,” Amy said. “But lately, per my daughter’s request, I’m working on an upgrade. She’s like, ‘You can’t wear workout clothes if you’re not working out, Mom,” she added with a laugh. ” ‘You can’t just do the leisure part of athleisure.’”
She added that she’s usually “the last person to get ready.”
“I will help my daughter get ready. My husband will get ready,” Amy said. “I will be helping her, I run around or I braid her hair. And I’m always the last person to get ready…. usually [on my end] there’s a ponytail involved, maybe a hat, and I think it’s been that way since she was born.”
Her daughter recently made her red carpet debut.
