Curious Caterer is one of the big fan favorite movie series on Hallmark Channel.
The film franchise, which stars Andrew Walker and Nikki DeLoach, has spawned five movies thus far.
In the series, which premiered on Hallmark Mysteries and Movies in 2022, Goldy Berry (DeLoach), a single mom and caterer from a small town in Colorado, and Tom Schultz (Walker), investigate a series of mysterious murders — most of which are related to food. The franchise is inspired by the Goldy Bear mysteries book series by author Diane Mott Davidson.
Naturally, fans are curious about a potential sixth movie.

There is no Curious Caterer movie in the works right now, but there are plans for a 6th and 7th movie.
“We were supposed to shoot a couple of them in the new year, January and February, but they’ve been pushed back to mid-year,” Andrew told Soaps.com in December.
The latest film, Curious Caterer: Forbidden Fruit, debuted in October 2024.
“I know the ideas for both Curious Caterer 6 and 7. What I can say is we’re kind of going back to the original number one and some of the things we established at the beginning of the series in terms of seeing Goldie as a chef and honoring what Diane Mott Davidson created in the novels of the series,” Nikki told Soaps.com. “So we’re going back and pulling a little bit of that back into the show, while also delivering in both six and seven, which are two different worlds.”
While she has written and executive produced other Hallmark movies, she confirmed that she didn’t write the next two Curious Caterer movies.
“Believe me, I’ve put it out there very loud and proud,” she said of wanting to helm future movies in the franchise. “ I know these characters, all of them, better than anyone. I’ve spent so much time with them, and have bibles created for each character in terms of what their wants, needs and motivations are and what their misguided wants are. When you’re writing, it’s so important to know these things about all the characters you’re creating. So it’s been put on the table. We’ll see. It would be great to be able to write at least one of them.”
Andrew added: “Nikki is a powerhouse. She approaches it like a producer, but she’s going to be a director at one point. Nikki will direct these movies. And she’s a writer, so she comes at it from a writer’s mind as well. She’s constantly shifting things and elevating the material as we go along.”
“The thing we come up against with our movies is, logistically, we have to do them within a certain budget,” she said. “So Canadian writers offer, especially if we’re shooting in Vancouver, a tax incentive that’s really hard to pass up when you’re making movies on a pretty tight budget. And that’s something I deeply understand as a producer. Mysteries cost even more to make, so we have to be super mindful of our budget so we can continue to make these movies.”
More than 30 movies were just added to Hallmark+ from Countdown to Christmas!
