Months ago in October, he revealed there was “a conversation” to reprise his role as Detective Mark Kincaid in the movie, until it was revealed in January that he wouldn’t be back.
“It just didn’t work out and we were dealing with the fires and everything that was going on and the schedule didn’t work out, unfortunately,” he explained to Variety.
Sydney Prescott (Neve Campbell) referred to her husband as Mark in Scream 5, leading fans to believe she meant Mark Kincaid. However, it was announced earlier this year that Joel McHale will play Sydney’s husband, Mark.
