Naomi Watts has her family’s support at the premiere of her new movie, The Friend!
The Oscar-nominated actress was joined by her husband Billy Crudup and her 16-year-old daughter Kai Schreiber at the premiere on Monday night (March 24) at the iPic Theater in New York City.
Also in attendance at the event were Naomi‘s co-stars Bill Murray, Sarah Pidgeon, Constance Wu, Noma Dumezweni, Felix Solis, Owen Teague, Carla Gugino, and Josh Pais.
Based on the bestselling novel, writer and teacher Iris (Watts) finds her comfortable, solitary New York life thrown into disarray after her closest friend (Murray) leaves her his beloved 150 lb. Great Dane Apollo, immediately creating practical problems, from furniture destruction to eviction notices, as well as more existential ones. Yet as Iris finds herself unexpectedly bonding with Apollo, she begins to come to terms with her past, and her own creative inner life in this story of healing, love, and friendship.
Bing, the Great Dane who stars in the movie, also attended the event. Naomistrong>’s dress matched his spots!
The Friend will be released in theaters on March 28.
