Kristin Davis is looking back at a certain Sex & the City storyline she really didn’t want to do.
During a new episode of her Are You a Charlotte? podcast, the 60-year-old actress revealed the one storyline from the iconic HBO series that she “hated” and begged writers to cut.
Keep reading to find out more…In the sixth and final season of the show, Kristin‘s character Charlotte and her second husband Harry (played by Evan Handler) get food poisoning after what was supposed to be a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner.
“I just hated that storyline so much,” Kristin admitted. “I went to Elisa Zuritsky and Julia Rottenberg [the writers of the episode] and said, ‘Please, do we have to do this? Why?’”
In the episode titled “The Ick Factor,” Harry orders an extravagant cart of French cheeses in an attempt to impress Charlotte, but once they get back to their apartment, they both end up in the bathroom with horrible food poisoning.
Despite her begging, the writers refused to cut the storyline.
“They were like, ‘It’s so funny,’” Kristin recalled. “I think it was based on a story where someone went to France and had a similar experience with their decadent cheeses, which we’re not used to here.”
“I didn’t like that,” she added. “I didn’t want to lay on the floor of the bathroom with Evan in stained T-shirts. Ick.”
In another episode of her podcast, Kristin revealed the scrapped And Just Like That storyline that involved Charlotte’s first husband Trey McDougall!
