Lorne Michaels is addressing a claim about the banning of certain entertainers from Saturday Night Live.

The 80-year-old television producer, who created and produces the weekend sketch show, opened up about if musical guests have really ever been banned from the show over the years.

If you didn’t know, six musical acts have reportedly been banned from returning to SNL over the years, along with several other actors and comedians.

“I’ll read it sometimes in the Post, ‘So and so’s banned for life,’” Lorne said during the documentary Ladies & Gentleman… 50 Years of SNL Music, via Billboard. “We’ve never banned anyone. We’re way too crass and opportunistic. If something’s hot, we’re going to go for it and have it on.”
