Eight seasons in, with every season growing more problematic than the next, Love Is Blind reunions are undoubtedly the highlight of the show. Viewers wait with bated breath to get all the tea on the behind-the-scenes drama, eventual revelations, and upsurging of a contestant’s shady past. A billion questions linger in viewers’ minds as they hope all the red-flag contestants get called out and be put on the spot at the reunion. However, Nick and Vanessa Lachey have proved that they are incapable of asking difficult questions and calling a contestant out for their shady behavior.
The duo merely skim over the issues and do not delve deeper to get to the truth of the situation. None of the allegations get addressed, and they shift focus from the juicy stuff right when they hit gold. Maybe hosting a confrontational episode like a reunion isn’t up the loved-up couple’s alley. Netflix needs to consider bringing in a seasoned player like Andy Cohen, who has a flair for hosting reunions and making reality show villains squirm in their seats. From squeezing all the juice out of Scandoval to calmly dealing with raging Housewives — Andy has done it all. It would be a cakewalk for him to question the likes of Jeramey Lutinski and Ben Mezzenga and get them to share all the ugly details of their shady deeds.
Nick and Vanessa Lachey Don’t Dive Deep Enough to Hold Contestants Accountable
Nick and Vanessa may prove to be apt faces of the show for promoting unconditional love. However, they fall short in their ability as hosts when the reunion episodes roll up. They are a little too polite and forgiving to possess the bandwidth to address the more problematic and controversial contestant behavior and moments from the show.

While they do skim over the surface of bringing up the questionable demeanor of a red flag contestant or point out a disconcerting viewpoint, the duo is unable to take the discussion one step further. The usual pattern goes with the contestants saying their individual parts, Nick and Vanessa then ask subtle questions to call them out, and eventually, the whole ordeal ends on an inconclusive note due to lack of cross-questioning.
Andy Cohen Would Persist Until the Other Person Cracks
I’m sure those familiar with the Bravoverse would know Andy has no filters or qualms. He will call a spade a spade and question an individual until they are backed into a corner and forced to tell the truth. Andy has been dealing with seasoned reality TV veterans and divas for years, so in comparison, making the Love Is Blind rookies crack would be a piece of cake.
Having dealt with big personalities like Teresa Giudice, Tom Sandoval, Jax Taylor, and many more, the Watch What Happens Live! with Andy Cohen host would leave the Love Is Blind villains hanging their heads down in shame. He’s also immune to stories that lack conviction and explanations that are void of logic — which would bode well for uncovering the truth behind an array of accusations tossed around during the Love is Blind reunions.
It’s Imperative for ‘Love Is Blind’ Reunions To Have a Host Who Doesn’t Hesitate
The one factor that deems Nick and Vanessa unfit to host the reunions is their hesitation and continued attempts to not come across as the bad guys for putting contestants on the spot. I think one aspect that makes Andy an excellent reunion host is his ability to play the devil’s advocate yet somehow remain likable by cast members and viewers alike. Andy is almost like that therapist who makes you uncomfortable in a good way that eventually makes you spill your deepest secrets. If he were to host the reunions, viewers would finally get the answers they seek, and apologies would be relayed to those who deserve them.
Moreover, since the reunion episodes Andy hosts are filled to the brim with shocking revelations and endless drama, bringing him onto the Love Is Blind bandwagon may lead to more than one reunion episode. Andy would also bring a nuanced perspective into an incredibly heteronormative show and be able to engage in the LGBTQ+ discussions that Nick and Vanessa often don’t know how to tackle. I truly believe that the Love Is Blind reunions would be infinitely more authentic, entertaining, and satisfying if Netflix were to hand over the hosting gig to Andy.
